Example of Alkaline Foods

When I went out to do some groceries at the supermarket, I came to noticed different sprouting green lengthy leaves that are somewhat similar to a grass.

The girl offered me a cup of green juice to try on. With curiosity, I asked her what the green juice is; she told me that it is a concentrated wheat grass. It is considered as alkaline foods, she exclaimed. Since I was in a hurry, I refused the juice drink and finish on my groceries.

As I was heading back home, the term wheat grass kept on bubbling in my mind. When I reached home, I immediately took out my laptop and browse over the internet what a wheat grass is and what are the foods bracketed as alkaline foods.

I have learned that alkaline foods are a general term given to different types of foods that can make our body more alkaline. Meaning, it neutralizes the acidity of our body. The more acids are stored in our body, the more we get prone to different diseases because acidic environment is a good medium for bacterial proliferation.

One common and perfect example of alkaline foods is wheat grass. It is an organic substance that contains alkalizing agents that help increase the alkaline concentrate in our body which in turn help us to combat infections and makes us essentially healthy.

If you think you are acidic, wheatgrass is a good choice for you.
